How to find and export your Five9 data.

Five9 does not show a running total of recorded hours. Recordings are uploaded to the FTP or SFTP server your administrator set in the VCC Administrator application, and Five9 keeps its own copy only briefly. Report hours of recorded audio that your company still holds.

Where Five9 shows how much you have.

  1. Ask your Five9 administrator where recordings are sent. Recording uploads are configured in the FTP settings of the VCC Administrator application.
  2. On that FTP or SFTP server, or wherever your team moved the files, total the audio duration of the recordings. If only file sizes are available, time a sample of calls to work out hours per GB and apply it to the total.
  3. In Five9 reporting, run a call log report for the dates Five9 still holds and compare total talk time with your recording hours as a cross check.

Plan and role. A Five9 administrator manages recording uploads in VCC Administrator. Report access depends on the reporting permissions your administrator grants.

What to report on the Polyshares intake.

Report Five9 in hours. The intake also asks how many years the company has used it and how many seats it has.

Report hours of recorded audio that your company still stores. Five9's data retention policy keeps audio recordings for the sooner of 30 days or a successful FTP or SFTP offload, unless your contract says otherwise, so older calls exist only if your team kept the uploaded files.

For years in use, use the date of the oldest recording you still hold rather than the date you started with Five9. Seats are licensed agent users.

Export the full history.

  1. Have a Five9 administrator confirm the FTP or SFTP destination for recordings in VCC Administrator. Five9 uploads each recording there as it is saved.
  2. Copy the recording files, and any transcripts your account produces, from that server to long term storage.
  3. Export call log reports for the dates Five9 still holds, so each recording can be matched to its call date, campaign and duration.

Five9's published retention periods are short. Audio recordings are kept for the sooner of 30 days or a successful FTP or SFTP offload, call logs for 60 days and contact session data for 120 days, unless your contract or the law requires otherwise. Five9 tells customers to download and keep this data on their own premises, and says extra storage may be available for a fee.

If recordings were never offloaded, ask your Five9 account team whether your contract includes extended storage and what can still be retrieved.

The intake only needs the size, so you do not have to run an export to fill it in. You also do not need to clean or scrub an export. Polyshares handles anonymization before anything moves.

Why Five9 data has value for AI training.

Contact center recordings show trained agents handling real customer problems from the first question to the resolution. Matched to call logs, each conversation carries its campaign, date and duration.

What stays private.

Caller names and phone numbers in recordings and call logs are removed before anything moves.

We anonymize identifying details before anything moves. Polyshares does that work, so your team does not have to scrub records first.

Your company keeps ownership of its data. The license is bounded to defined material and a defined use.

Polyshares is the buyer and pays your company directly. There is no fee or commission, and Polyshares reviews the record before it makes any offer.

Five9 lists call logs at 60 days and contact session data at 120 days, except where law or your contract requires otherwise. Export reports regularly if you want a longer history.
