How to find and export your Dialpad data.
Dialpad call volume and durations come from Analytics in the Admin Portal, where admins and users with Analytics permission can export office-wide call logs. Report hours of recorded calls. Recordings are only retrievable within your plan's access window, 45 days on Essential and Advanced and up to a year on Premium.
Where Dialpad shows how much you have.
- In the Dialpad Admin Portal, open Analytics and set the office or group and date filters.
- Select Export(.csv), choose the call logs report and select Send report. Dialpad emails you a link to the CSV.
- Add up call durations for recorded calls and divide by 3,600 for hours. For a count of recordings, ask Dialpad Customer Care to turn on the recordings export.
Plan and role. Company Admins and users with Analytics permission can export office-wide data. Exporting analytics is available on all Dialpad plans, though some plans have fewer export types.
What to report on the Polyshares intake.
Report Dialpad in hours. The intake also asks how many years the company has used it and how many seats it has.
Report hours of recorded audio from the call logs export. Dialpad keeps data until you delete it, cancel, or set a retention policy, but recordings older than your access window cannot be retrieved in the Admin Portal, so report the hours you can actually export.
For years in use, use the date your Dialpad company account was created. Seats are licensed Dialpad users.
Export the full history.
- Export the call logs report from Analytics > Export(.csv) for each office or group and date range you need.
- Ask Dialpad Customer Care to enable the recordings export, then send it the same way. It lists every recording with a link to its MP3 file.
- For Contact Center recordings, a Company Admin can set up Bulk Backup to Google Cloud Storage under Admin Settings > My Company > Integrations > Google Cloud Storage. Dialpad can back up historic recordings as far back as two years.
Essential and Advanced plans have a 45-day access window for recordings and transcripts, and Premium has up to a year; longer access can be purchased. If the account is canceled, Dialpad deletes the data after 180 days, and a Company Admin's retention policy can remove recordings sooner.
The recordings export is off by default and excludes admin call recordings. Transcripts are not in analytics exports and must be pulled per call through the API. Bulk Backup covers Contact Center recordings on Dialpad Support plans and Coaching Teams.
The intake only needs the size, so you do not have to run an export to fill it in. You also do not need to clean or scrub an export. Polyshares handles anonymization before anything moves.
Why Dialpad data has value for AI training.
Dialpad records and transcribes business calls, so each call can come with both audio and a transcript tied to the office, department or contact center line that handled it.
What stays private.
You choose which offices, departments and contact centers are exported, and lines you want kept out are simply left off.
We anonymize identifying details before anything moves. Polyshares does that work, so your team does not have to scrub records first.
Your company keeps ownership of its data. The license is bounded to defined material and a defined use.
Polyshares is the buyer and pays your company directly. There is no fee or commission, and Polyshares reviews the record before it makes any offer.
Common questions about Dialpad data.
Are Dialpad recordings deleted after 45 days?
Not by default. Dialpad keeps data until you delete it or set a retention policy. 45 days is the access window on Essential and Advanced, after which recordings are no longer retrievable in the Admin Portal.
Why is there no recordings export in my Dialpad Analytics?
The recordings export is not enabled by default. Contact Dialpad Customer Care to have it turned on for your account.
What happens to Dialpad data if we cancel?
Dialpad deletes the data 180 days after the account is canceled. Export call logs and recordings before then.
