How to find and export your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales data.
Dynamics 365 Sales stores its data in Dataverse, and the Power Platform admin center shows database, file and log storage per environment under Licensing. Tenant admins, Power Platform admins and Dynamics 365 admins can see it. Report the database storage for your Sales environment in GB.
Where Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales shows how much you have.
- Sign in to the Power Platform admin center as a tenant admin, Power Platform admin or Dynamics 365 admin.
- Select Licensing, then Dataverse under Products, and read the Usage per storage type tile for database, file and log.
- Select your Sales environment to see its own usage and the Consumption per table list, or use Licensing > Capacity add-ons > Dataverse and select Details.
Plan and role. Only tenant admins, Power Platform admins and Dynamics 365 admins can see the tenant summary. Environment admins are sent to the Dataverse tab. Trial and developer environments show 0 GB, so open their details to see actual use.

- For the full history, sign in to Power Apps with the Dataverse system administrator security role, select Link data > Other Links > + New link to data lake, and pick an Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 account.
- Choose every table you need, then select Save. Dataverse writes CSV snapshots of each table to the storage account and keeps them up to date.
Export to Excel handles up to 100,000 rows at a time and can time out on wide views with many lookups, so filter into batches. Azure Synapse Link needs an Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 account in the same Microsoft Entra tenant with hierarchical namespace turned on, Owner and Storage Blob Data Contributor roles, and it only exports tables that have change tracking turned on. Link to Microsoft Fabric is the other option; it keeps a delta parquet copy in Dataverse storage without your own Azure account.
The intake only needs the size, so you do not have to run an export to fill it in. You also do not need to clean or scrub an export. Polyshares handles anonymization before anything moves.
