How to find and export your Coda data.

Coda is now Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda), and it does not show a storage total in its settings. The best measure is the size of your data export: each doc owner can run Account settings > Advanced settings > Export My Data, and Enterprise org admins can export docs through the Admin API. Report the combined export size in MB.

Where Coda shows how much you have.

  1. Have each doc owner open Account settings, scroll to Advanced settings and select Export My Data. This covers only docs that person owns.
  2. Download the export, which comes as .txt and .csv files for the owned docs, and note the total size in MB.
  3. On Enterprise, an org admin can list every doc in the organization with the Admin API List docs endpoint and export them with the Doc Export endpoints instead.

Plan and role. Export My Data only covers docs the signed in user owns. The Admin API is limited to Enterprise organizations and can only be used by organization admins.

What to report on the Polyshares intake.

Report Coda in MB. The intake also asks how many years the company has used it and how many seats it has.

Report the total export size in MB across all doc owners, or the Admin API export total on Enterprise. For years in use, use the creation date of your oldest doc or the start of your subscription. For seats, count the members in your workspace members list.

Export the full history.

  1. Each doc owner runs Export My Data from Account settings > Advanced settings and downloads the files.
  2. For a doc that needs its layout preserved, open the doc's three dot menu, choose Print & export > Export to PDF, and pick the entire doc.
  3. On Enterprise, have an org admin run Doc Export through the Admin API for every doc returned by List docs, so docs owned by people who have left are covered too.

Export My Data only includes docs you own, delivered as .txt and .csv files. Admin API exports are Enterprise only, and HTML exports through the Admin API cannot exceed 125 MB per doc, a cap that does not apply to PDF or plain text. Enterprise admins can also turn exports off with the data export policy, so check that setting before you start.

The intake only needs the size, so you do not have to run an export to fill it in. You also do not need to clean or scrub an export. Polyshares handles anonymization before anything moves.

Why Coda data has value for AI training.

Coda docs mix written plans with working tables, so a project brief often sits beside the tracker that ran the project. Exported tables keep row level fields such as owners, statuses and dates, and the text files keep the reasoning around them.

What stays private.

We anonymize identifying details before anything moves. Polyshares does that work, so your team does not have to scrub records first.

Your company keeps ownership of its data. The license is bounded to defined material and a defined use.

Polyshares is the buyer and pays your company directly. There is no fee or commission, and Polyshares reviews the record before it makes any offer.

Common questions about Coda data.

Is Coda the same product as Superhuman Docs?

Yes. Superhuman's developer documentation describes Superhuman Docs as formerly Coda, and the export options here apply to the same docs.

Can an admin export Coda docs owned by other people?

Only on Enterprise. Organization admins can use the Admin API to list and export docs across the organization. On other plans, each owner exports their own docs.

Are there size limits on Coda exports?

HTML exports through the Admin API cannot exceed 125 MB per doc. PDF and plain text exports do not have that limit.
