How does a data licensing deal work?
An intake, then a call, then terms papered within one to two weeks. We review the record and agree the scope, you approve and share it, and identifying fields are stripped as part of preparing the data. Payment follows on net 30 to 60 terms.
In depth
The structure does not change between deals; only the record and the price do. An intake and a short call are enough for us to say quickly whether we are interested in a record of your shape, and a company that does not qualify is told so rather than left waiting. From there, terms are agreed and the license papered within one to two weeks, with scope, price, and permitted use written down before anything moves.
Two records that look identical on an intake form can be worth very different numbers. One is ten years of people working problems out in writing; the other is ten years of calendar invitations. Nobody can tell those apart from a description, which is why we review the record and agree what is in scope before quoting, rather than after. That review also establishes the provenance chain, which has to be clean before anything else matters. The number we quote after that review is the number the company receives, with nothing deducted from it.
What we need from your side is narrow. We need confirmation that the company owns the records, since only you hold your customer contracts. We need access to the systems being licensed, scoped to what the license covers. And we need a decision on scope and term once the number is on the table. Once you approve and share, identifying fields are stripped as part of preparing the data, and that work is ours. Payment follows on net 30 to 60 terms from approval, sharing, and anonymization being complete, and none of it is contingent on what we do with the record afterward. If terms are never reached, nothing has changed for you: there is no fee at any stage, no exclusivity while we talk, and no obligation to proceed.

When does the money arrive?
Net 30 to 60, once the data has been approved, shared, and anonymized. We do not pay for a record we have not seen, so the review comes first.
Can I talk to someone before filling anything in?
Yes. Book a call and someone on the team will walk you through the same questions the form asks. Most owners find the form faster.
What happens to the data afterwards?
We anonymize it, build it into data sets, and supply AI labs. Use is bounded by the license, and we do not disclose which labs take which data.
Speak with someone on the team.
The intake tells us quickly whether there is a market for what your company holds. You will get a straight answer either way.
