Privacy and analytics.

Your choice decides what we collect

In the EU, UK, California and Quebec, analytics stays anonymous until you accept. Elsewhere, analytics cookies are on until you turn them off. We go by your device’s time zone setting. Page replays never start until you allow them, wherever you are.

While analytics is anonymous, or if you decline, we only count visits. Nothing is stored on your device, there are no page replays, and you are not identified, even when signed in. Our analytics provider counts visits with a temporary code calculated on its servers from your IP address and browser, and that code changes every day.

With analytics on, a cookie lets us recognize a return visit, and in the portal your activity is linked to your account ID, as described below. Page replays are added only once you select Accept or OK.

What we collect

How the site is used. Which pages are viewed, which buttons are clicked, how far people get in the intake and the broker walkthrough, which site or campaign sent them, and the type of device and browser. It tells us where the site is confusing and what to improve next.

Your account ID, never your name or email. If you accept and are signed in, activity is tied to your Polyshares account ID, your role (seller or broker), your company record ID, and how you signed up. Your name and email address are not sent to our analytics provider.

Page replays, only if you accept. To spot confusing steps, we can replay how a page was used: clicks, scrolling and moving between pages. Anything you type is hidden before it leaves your browser, and in the portal and intake all on-screen text is hidden too, so company details and figures are never captured.

Errors. When something on a page breaks, the technical error and the page it happened on, so we can fix it.

General location. Your country and city, estimated from your IP address.

Our own visit counts. On the home page and the intake we also count visits and which campaign they came from, in our own database.

Who handles it

Analytics and page replays are handled for us by PostHog, Inc., on servers in the United States. PostHog works on our behalf and does not use the data for its own advertising. See posthog.com/privacy.

If you accept, a cookie holds a random ID so a return visit counts as the same visitor rather than a new one, and our own visit counts use storage that clears when you close the tab. If you decline, we store only your choice, so we don’t ask again.

What we don’t do

• No advertising pixels or ad-network cookies.
• No selling analytics data, and no sharing it for advertising.
• Nothing you type is captured, on any page.

Do Not Track. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we don’t collect any analytics, not even anonymous counts.
